The Diamond State Invitational has moved to Ocean City, Marlyand. What was once a sleepy fishing town until 1875, quickly became a travel destination when the railroad bridged Sinepuxent Bay and a resort was born. In 1900, the first wooden walkway was constructed and Trimper's Amusements opened shortly after. Interestingly, the boardwalk was not a year-round fixture and would be taken up in the winter, and stored until the following spring. Today, Ocean City stretches along 10 miles of beautiful beach from the Inlet to the Delaware state line. The boardwalk offers nearly 3 miles of food, games, and shopping.
The boardwalk not your cup of tea? No problem. The town boasts a multitude of restaurants (fine dining and casual), museums, tours & sightseeing, cultural arts, shopping, and a variety of amusements and entertainments.
